Collapsed Retaining Wall at Pondok Ranggon Public Cemetery Has Been Repaired

Repair work on collapsed retaining wall along 20 meters at Pondok Ranggon Public Cemetery (TPU), Cipayung, East Jakarta which started in February is now completed.

The damaged parts are repaired by installing river stones

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Forestry and Green Belt Section Head, Atang Setiawan conveyed, the collapsed retaining wall is located at Blok AAI Blad 98 and 99, about 20 meters from Sunter River. It was collapsed due to continuous heavy rain which caused erosion.

"This repair involves 17 personnel. The damaged parts are repaired by installing river stones to make it sturdy and prevent it from collapsing again," he explained, Friday (3/26).

Pondok Ranggon Public Cemetery Unit Head, Marton Sinaga added, not only repairing collapsed retaining wall, but his side also making new water channel around retaining wall thus rainwater that inundating cemetery plots can be drained into Sunter River.

"Currently, we are building water channel as long as 25 meters with width and height of 30 centimeters," he mentioned.
